
Chipotle announced they added to their lifestyle bowl options an organic Vegan Bowl and Vegetarian Bowl which has guacamole.
The lifestyle bowls launched earlier in 2019 added to their new menu which consisted of double protein meals, paleo bowls, and keto bowls.
There have always been vegan options on the Chipotle menu, but now the customer will have the opportunity to design their own bowl.
The Vegan Bowl includes plant-based Sorfitas, black beans, brown rice, chili-corn salsa, lettuce, and tomato salsa.
The Vegetarian Bowl features brown rice, fajita vegetables, pinto beans, chili corn salsa, tomato salsa, sour cream, and guacamole.
In 2014 Chipotle introduced its first vegan option, the Sofritas. The company said it cooked in 2018 7.5 million Sofritas. Twelve percent of all meals sold by Chipotle last year were Vegetarian and vegan.
Taco Bell introduced in Jan. 2019 a vegetarian menu which included options which already available to make it easier for those who wanted a vegetable option to find them. These items included crunchwraps, tostadas, tacos, and burritos.
Prices for the new bowls can vary by the Chipotle location, but the suggested retail price is $7.50.
