Victoria Beckham visited “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, and she chose to speak candidly about why she decided not to participate in the Spice Girls’ latest reunion tour.
The tour was announced last year without the addition of Beckham, and fans were left wondering why Posh Spice was not returning. However, she did not have much to say that explained her absence. She did explain in an Instagram post that she would not be part of the tour and that she hoped the other women would have “so much love and fun.”
On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Beckham stated, “Do you know, I had so much fun and I’m still close with the girls. And I was so proud of them and everything that they did. [The reunion] was a huge success.”
“But you know, for me, I loved it when I did it. But I feel like a very different person now. I’ve got four children, and I’m really busy doing what I’m doing.” According to Buzzfeed, Beckham was referencing her work in the fashion industry.
Also on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Beckham talked about her 17-year-old son Romeo. He joined the Tik Tok social media site and asked his mother to dance with him. “What should we dance to?” she asked, and he responded Spice Girls. Romeo took Beckham’s phone and posted the two of them dancing together to boost his number of followers.
“It was a lot of fun, but I have to say I think that Romeo takes after his dad with his moves,” joking about her husband, David Beckham.
