
Ime Udoka is the assistant coach for the Boston Celtics. Less than a month before the start of the regular season, the Celtics are without their coach. The Boston Celtics have suspended assistant coach Ime Udoka for the remainder of the year. The suspension runs through June 30, 2023, and assistant Joe Mazzulla will lead the team as interim coach for the 2022-23 season.
The NBA’s Celtics suspended assistant coach Ime Udoka after he was caught in a confrontation with a fan during Game 2 at TD Garden on Wednesday night. While it’s unclear what exactly led to Udoka’s suspension, actor Nia Long believes she knows why he landed in hot water.
Nia Long Speaks up for her Husband
She is a well-known actress who portrayed Zoe in “Zoe 101.” Long took to Instagram to share her view on her husband getting suspended. “I just want everyone to know that this isn’t an isolated incident,” she wrote. “My husband is an incredible father and human being. He has always been kind, compassionate, generous, and honorable throughout his life.”
She added that there may be room for reconciliation between her and Udoka. He is the father of her youngest son Kez Sunday Udoka. “Even though we are no longer together as a couple, we are very much together when it comes to the kids and our family. So, if I had to come here to do that, then yeah, this thing is still very real for us.”
Nia Long responds to Appreciation amid Ime Udoka’s suspension
She started dating Ime Udoka back in 2009. He was a basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs (and formerly of the LA Clippers) back in 2009. They had two children together — a son named Jai (born in 2010) and a daughter named Laila (born in 2013). In addition to defending him publicly, she also took him to court recently over custody issues regarding their children.
The actress wrote on Twitter following news of their separation back in 2013. But now they’re back together again because we all know how love works sometimes. Nia Long spoke out about her ex-husband during an interview with Access on Thursday.
Long Responds to Ime Udoka’s Suspension by standing up for him although he cheated.
When asked if there was any chance, they would get back together again someday, Long responded:
She went on to say that it’s possible for them to get back together and reunite. Long defended her boyfriend’s actions on Twitter and other social media platforms. Long also said she supports the Celtics. “I’m not a fan of Lebron James but I do support the @Celtics! They are an amazing team with great fans!” She also said she believes the apology was genuine. “I appreciate you guys taking the time to listen to my side of things.”
“It’s all a misunderstanding.” Nia Long is not happy with the NBA’s decision to suspend her husband Ime Udoka. She also said that the Celtics should reconsider their decision. She also defended his actions on Twitter and other social media platforms stating: “I love you Ime Udoka.”
Nia Long also said, “Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.” She added that she still has good terms with him, but they are not in a relationship anymore.
