Vote Republican or “Flat Earth Society?”
First, a fact: there are less than a handful of true Republicans in Washington in 2022. On January 20, 2017, nearly every former Republican deserted the one-time Party of Lincoln and surrendered their principles, their integrity, and their soul to Donald John Trump.
By their own words and actions right-wing politicians have proven that they are incapable of governing and simply don’t care. The quality and experience of most 2022 right-wing candidates is severely deficient. Look at Matt Gaetz, Representative from Florida’s first district.
Gaetz
The last report I read from Florida said that 119 people have lost their lives related to the damage caused by deadly Hurricane Ian last week. Law enforcement officers are patrolling areas which received the greatest damage to prevent theft from demolished structures. Matt Gaetz, another disgraced Republican charged with sexual assault of a minor, believes stronger action must be taken.
Without any mention of proof, Gaetz tweeted: “You loot. We shoot. #FloridaMan.” I’m sure he has already received “thank you” cards from the NRA.
Remember, this is Florida, and Gaetz is just another fascist who believes that rules and common sense do not apply to white men.
Welcome to the Sunshine State
[Florida Sheriff Grady Judd went on Fox News and told potential vigilantes to shoot targets and make them “look like grated cheese.” The implications here are dire. Sheriff Judd’s violent and homicidal comments contrast the very idea of “innocent till proven guilty.”]
Once again, welcome to the Republican “Sunshine State” where brains are fried and pandemic victims died.
Let’s look at another fascist pretending to be an American and a member of the once Grand Old Party.
This week President Biden took action on an issue which has been the focus of discussion by civil and human rights groups for decades. Mr. Biden pardoned all federal prisoners who were convicted for possession of marijuana. This action should have happened long ago. He asked all state’s governors to follow his lead and repeal convictions for what were truly minor and non-harmful mistakes.
The Republican Lone Star State
However, Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, the second worst governor in the nation, believes that regardless of the “crime,” all convicted criminals should remain in prison and be labeled as felons for the rest of their lives. Of course, this does not apply if you are a friend or ally of Donald Trump who pardoned multiple criminals who committed serious crimes against our country.
“Texas is not in the habit of taking criminal justice advice from the leader of the defund police party and someone who has overseen a criminal justice system run amuck with cashless bail and a revolving door for violent criminals,” Abbott spokesperson Renae Eze said in a statement Thursday.
Excuse me, but what the f**k? However, what would you expect from politicians ruling over the Lone Star State, whose only achievement is executing more men and women than any other state in history, most of them minorities?
I feel certain that true Republicans from the past are cringing in their graves as they look at right-wing political nominees in 2022 like Herschel Walker, “Dr. Oz,” Adam Laxalt, Joe Lombardo, Doug Mastriano, and of course the failed, senile, 89-year-old man of the senate, Chuck Grassley.
