On Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 was the Bill Clinton deposition before Congress, a day after Hillary testified about the former president’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Being included in the late financier’s documents is not an indication of wrongdoing and neither of the Clinton’s are accused of misconduct by the survivors of Epstein’s crimes.

Second Clinton Deposition

In his opening statement, the former president said he was not aware of what Epstein was doing and if he did know, would have turned the sex offender into the authorities.

The former president testified he connected with Epstein regarding charity work in 2001, after he left the White House and voiced regret of ever being associated with the man.

He said, “We are only here because he hid it from everyone so well for so long. And by the time it came to light with his 2008 guilty plea, I had long stopped associating with him.”

Rep. Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer says they have evidence Epstein visited the White House 17 times and Clinton flew on Epstein’s place 27 times.

Clinton was questioned concerning Donald Trump’s relationship with Epstein. House Democrats stated his testimony garnered “additional information” about the president that warranted questioning.

Top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee Robert Garcia said Clinton’s testimony “brought up additional information about some discussions with President Trump” and with other Democrats, repeated his demand to question the current president.

Comer told reporters Clinton was asked whether Trump should be questioned by the committee and he responded, “That’s for you to decide.”

On Friday, Trump told reporters, “I don’t like seeing him [Clinton] deposed.”

Both the former president and his wife previously dismissed the subpoenas calling them politically motivated. They agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee during the contempt-of-Congress proceedings.

NPR states: “Lawmakers are grappling with what accountability in the United States looks like at a time when men around the world have been toppled from their high-powered posts for maintaining their connections with Epstein after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to state charges in Florida for soliciting prostitution from an underage girl.”

Hot Tub Photograph

Concerning the photo of Clinton lounging in a hot tub with an unidentified woman, he said he did not know her and did not have sex with her, according to a source for the BBC.

After his deposition, Clinton posted a video mostly restating his opening statement saying he did not have any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes “no matter how many photos they show of me.”

“When the video of my testimony today is released, I hope it will motivate everyone to go in front of Congress to say what they know. I hope it will motivate the justice department to finally release all the files and to ensure that this never happens again. The survivors deserve that.”

Republican Rep. John McGuire believed Clinton to have a “selective memory” during his deposition. Other lawmakers said he handled the questioning with “skill and candor.” Comer said Clinton was “charming” throughout his testimony.

Comer said it was “a very productive deposition.”

He continued: “President Clinton answered every question, or attempted to answer every question.” The video and full transcript of his testimony will be released in coming days and called the Clintons’ depositions “historic” as they are the two highest-ranking officials ever to be deposed by Congress.

The House Oversight Committee asserts, “We have questions about anyone who spent time with Epstein post-conviction. Once you knew Jeffrey Epstein was a sex offender, why did you continue a relationship?”
