Sky View Academy in Colorado Shut Down After ‘Chemical Device’ Goes Off

A Highlands Ranch, Colorado school has been shut down after a chemical device of some sort went off there on Tuesday.

The school, Sky View Academy, has asked parents to pick up their children in the gym in the wake of the scare.

The incident is being investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Littleton Fire Department.

It is not yet known if the setting off of the chemical device was intentional or an accident.

It does not appear that anyone was hurt, although three students and a teacher have been sent to the local hospital as a precautionary measure.

School has been dismissed for the day.
