Los Angeles Woman Hospitalized After Jumping From Building on Fire

In Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, December 4, a woman was taken to a hospital after she jumped from a third floor window of an apartment which was on fire, according to NBC Southern California, which first broke this story. She is listed in critical condition.

According to a statement released by the LA County Fire Department, the apartment where the fire broke out was located in Inglewood, California, in the 600 block of Venice Way. The woman, 54, who jumped from the third floor window may have been trying to land in a nearby pool. The apartment was described as being a “garden-style,” one.

Fire officials issued a statement that the blaze was “knocked down,” according to the NBC Southern California report, within the time frame of 20 minutes.

The extent of the injuries suffered by the Los Angeles woman who jumped from the third floor window of the Inglewood, California apartment, during a fire that occurred on Thursday night has not bee released yet. She is, however, in critical condition at a local hospital.
