According to reports, Hollywood movie star Ryan Gosling is currently in negotiations to star opposite of the infamous Harrison Ford in the sequel to Blade Runner. Denis Villeneuve, who was involved in the making of Prisoners, will direct the sci-fi thriller for Alcon Entertainment. The movie will be directed by Ridley Scott.
The Blade Runner sequel, which is written by Michael Green and Hampton Francher, will be set a few decades in the future from the original. The first Blade Runner movie came out in 1982. Ford will star has his original role of Rick Deckard. The film was set in a dystopian future of 2019 in Los Angeles, California. Although Gosling is currently in negotiations about his role in the movie, it is unclear who he will play.
Gosling is now in production of the movie The Big Short, which also stars Christian Bale, Steve Carrell, and Brad Pitt. The script for the sequel to Blade Runner is finished. The movie has a fall 2015 release date.
