Talk show host 54-year-old Wendy Williams is incredibly smart. She has taken multiple steps both personally and professionally before serving divorce papers to her husband of 21 years, Kevin Hunter.
Sources told TMZ that Williams had stopped financially supporting Hunter and hired professionals to protect her financial empire ensuring they are secure.
The informant told TMZ that Williams created new bank accounts and separated their finances. She started this tedious process before filing the divorce papers.
Williams also found a new apartment in Manhattan, New York. Sources say she signed a few weeks ago a new lease on her home and paid a years worth of rent.
Previously, she resided in a home with Hunter in New Jersey. It was reported it was at that home police conducted a welfare check in Williams in January 2019, after they received an anonymous call alleging Hunter was poisoning Williams.
It has also been reported, Williams was torn whether or not to continue to work with Hunter professionally. Ultimately, she decided it would be best to remove him from everything altogether. The talk show host is interviewing for new management and an executive producer for “The Wendy Williams Show.”
Informants told TMZ Hunter has not received money from “The Wendy Williams Show” after he was fired.
