Apple hired Google Vice President Lilian Rincon as Vice President of Product Marketing for AI.
According to Apple, Rincon will head product marketing and management for AI platforms, including Apple Intelligence and Siri, and report to Apple’s Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing Greg Josiak.
Meet Lilian Rincon
The new Apple VP served Google for nine years, most recently as a Vice President of Product Management. She led the global product organization responsible for Google Shopping and Google Assistant. Prior to her roles at Google, Rincon had roles with Microsoft and Skype.
Last week, she announced on LinkedIn, she was leaving Google and said she was “incredibly excited about what comes next.”
Rincon’s hiring by Apple follows the December addition of Amar Subramanya, who is the VP of AI reporting to Craig Federighi.
Subramanya was with Google for 16 years, including as an engineering VP working on Gemini. He spent five months with Microsoft before he joined Apple.
In recent months, Apple has restructured a good portion of its AI team. The company also announced John Giannandrea is stepping down as senior vice president for Machine Learning and AI strategy.
